Janet Marie Johnson

Janet Marie Johnson’s 3-year courageous battle with ovarian cancer ended on November 13,2024 with her family by her side. 

She was born on June 21, 1947, to Michael and Pauline Moskal Kusky of Meadowlands PA. Janet graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School in 1966 and spent 26 years with The Polen Group, Executive Recruiters of Washington PA, finding jobs for hundreds of people. From there she went to Perryman Company, Houston PA where she was the receptionist for 16 years before her retirement in 2016. For the next seven years Janet then worked part-time at L&M Flower Shop in Canonsburg. 

Janet was the loving, but sometimes overbearing mother of David J Antonich (Beth) of Bethel Park, Dena Ketter (Robert) of Canonsburg, Jessica Scott (Matt) of Venetia, and Benjamin Johnson of Pittsburgh. 

Janet felt very blessed with 6 amazing grandchildren, Robert Ketter Jr of Tempe AZ, Victoria Ketter of St Petersburg FL, Zane Antonich and Micah Antonich of Bethel Park and Dominic Scott and Alex Scott of Venetia. 

Janet was an incredible mother whose lifelong sacrifices did not go unnoticed by her children and grandchildren.

At the request of the deceased there will be no public viewing and family-only service. 

A celebration of life is planned for November 23, 2024, from 3 pm to 5 pm at the Arc Art Gallery (111 West Pike St., Canonsburg- behind Chicco Bacello with friends and family invited to attend. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, earmarked to ovarian cancer research, would be appreciated.
