Jane E. Hnat, 84, of Houston passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Canonsburg Hospital, with her loving family by her side.
She was born on January 31, 1932 in Houston, a daughter of the late Frank and Fannie Ayres Bell.
Jane enjoyed bowling and going out to dinner. In earlier years, she also enjoyed going dancing. Above all, she loved spending time with her granddaughters.
Surviving are two loving children, Susan M. Belensky of Houston and Larry F. (Beverly) Stein of Buda, Texas; two beloved granddaughters, Michelle E. (Kellie Vernau) Belensky of Charlotte, North Carolina and Leslie M. (Todd Valek) Belensky of Houston; a brother, Donald R. (Martha) Bell of Scenery Hill; two sisters, Alice M. Ducsay of Canonsburg and Shirley A. Bell of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hnat, who passed away in March, 1999; five brothers, Frank, William, James, Fred, and Robert Bell; and six sisters, Laura Dove, Catherine Lazorchak, Florence Dilkes, Thelma Balsama, Pearl Wentz, and Dorothy Bell.
Friends are welcome from 2-9 PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, Lin Webb funeral director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
