James Patrick Homerosky

James Patrick Homerosky age 64 of McMurray, passed unexpectedly Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at home. He was born August 26, 1958, in Canonsburg, the fourth and youngest son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Koren Homerosky. Jim was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School class of 1976 and a few years later completed his B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh. He then earned his MBA from Virginia Tech, specializing in Management. Jim worked for many manufacturing companies in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region, including Fort Pitt Bridgeworks, General Motors Fisher Body, Guardian Glass and Titanium Metals. His career started out as a Maintenance Planner and progressed to Maintenance Supervisor, Mechanical Project Engineer and finally Project Manager. Jim and his wife Wendy spent much time in their second residence in Williamsburg, Virginia. He had many interests including traveling, bicycling, reading, cruising and crossword puzzles. He was most proud of having bicycled through 23 states and eleven countries. His bicycling interests led him to write three bicycling guidebooks: Road Biking Virginia, Road Biking Western Pennsylvania and Williamsburg Area Bike Rides. Jim enjoyed planning bike trips for friends and fellow club members, ranging from two hours to two weeks. On March 6, 1999, he married the love of his life, Wendy Follansbee Homerosky who survives. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his three brothers, Frank (Mary) Homerosky of Oak Hill, Ohio, Dave (Judy) Homerosky of Canonsburg and Ken (Donna) Homerosky of Washington and many nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to his parents are all of his aunts and uncles.

Friends and family are welcome from 2 pm until 4 pm, the time of services Sunday July 30, 2023, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P.
