James L. Perry age 69 of Strabane passed away peacefully following an extended illness, at 6:13am on Tuesday August 22, 2017 in his home with his beloved wife and family by his side. He was born August 6,1948 in Washington a son of the late Joseph and Emma Wilson Perry. He had lived in Strabane and Houston most of his life and attended Canonsburg schools. Prior to his unwilling retirement in January, he had been a cement mixer driver with Donaldson Supply for 49 years. He took great pride in his truck and was fanatical about keeping it clean and was a member of Teamsters Local #585. Mr. Perry was a member of the Labor Temple, the Slovak Club in Canonsburg where he served as an officer for many years and was an ABATE Life Member. He was an avid motorcyclist who always enjoyed being the lead man. He enjoyed sitting in his garage with his beer, chewing on a cigar and listening to the Oldies.

On June 7, 1968, he married his dear wife of 49 years, Karen B. Kinskey, who survives. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his children; Michael J. Perry of Strabane, Brenda J. Calabro and her husband Frank of Canonsburg, Jamie L. Drake of Strabane, five grandsons; Alan (Marrina) Perry, Anthony and Austin Perry, Frankie J. Calabro and Robbie J. Frazier, one great grandson Bentley Fuentes, his sister Barbara of South Carolina, his mother in law, Ada B. Kinskey Zambelli of Houston, his very close in-laws; Janice Shipley, James “Bones” (Cindy) Kinskey, Raymond Kinskey and David Casterline and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents is his son James L. Perry Jr. who passed away January 4, 1969, his brother, Joseph Perry, his father in law Joseph Kinskey and his beloved sister in law Patricia Kinskey Casterline who passed away May 15, 2017.
