James E. Moody, 73 of Muse died Tuesday Feb 3, 2009 in Washington Hospital. He was born March 15, 1935 in Muse a son of the late William Francis and Rose Ethel Hancock Moody. He lived most of his life in Muse where he was a member of Muse Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Moody had been a coalminer, a surveyor with Englehardt and Power and Associates, worked for the Canon-McMillan School District and retired from the Giant Eagle in McMurray. He served as a sergeant with the United States Army On December 13,1958,he married Margot Haring who survives. Also surviving are a grandson Robert J. Colin, a granddaughter Amanda R. Bundy, great grandson Corbin R. Colin and several Nieces and Nephews.
Deceased is his daughter, Clarice Moody Colin, who died January 25, 2003, five brothers, Francis, Robert,Patrick,Donald, and John (Bo) Moody, three sisters Marie Arcuri,Marge Kallams and Ann Kostelich. He was the last of his immediate family.
Friends are welcome at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg from 6-8 PM Friday February 6, 2009 where services will be held at 8:00 PM with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. Interment will be in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
