James D. Clawson, 60 of Houston passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 in St. Clair Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born on July 29, 1955 in New Eagle to the late Robert T. Clawson and Lorraine L. School Clawson, who survives.
On April 22, 1977 he married Sheryl Kovac, who survives.
Mr. Clawson was employed as an Excavator for Evanovich, Inc. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing and boating. His true passion was motorcycles. He belonged to many clubs and organizations including SNPJ, the American Legion Post #902 in Houston, the Moose in Cokeburg, Hackett Club in Venetia, and the Westland Sportsman Club.
In addition to his mother and his loving wife, he is survived by his beloved children, James R. Clawson and Kelli L. Reese, both of Houston; a brother, Larry J. Clawson of Clairton; two sisters, Kathleen M. Sinclair (John) of Knoxville, TN and Karen L. Lake (Andrew) of Canonsburg; two grandchildren, Jynessa L. and Hailey Reese of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert A. Clawson.
Services are private and have been entrusted to Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, Lin Webb funeral director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120.
