Jack “Butch” Sewock, 68 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully on June 29, 2017 in his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on November 23, 1948 in Canonsburg to John and Ethel Crow Sewock who preceded him in death.

On March 17,1972 he married Joyce Ferguson who survives.

Mr. Sewock was a veteran having served proudly with the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam war. He was a Presbyterian by faith.

He was a coal miner. He then was employed by the Observer-Reporter Publishing Company as a driver until his retirement.

Mr. Sewock was passionate about the game of golf. He was an accomplished player and tried to get on the golf course as often as possible.  He enjoyed his time on the course especially with his golf buddies Lee Pfender, Gary Bodnar and Joe Semieraro.  They had some great times together. He also had some great friends from his childhood, Bruce Beeles, Tony Zullo, Jim Shaw and Rich Golden having shared many good memories with them. His very best friend was Marvin Lutes. They served together in the military and shared an unbreakable bond.

Mr. Swock loved and cherished his family and his kitty cats.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife and two beloved daughters, Bonnie L. Hill (Billy) of Eighty-Four and Leslee N. Bruno (Sam) of Canonsburg, a brother Richard Sewock (Mary Lou) of Port Charlotte, Florida, two sisters Joyce Murray and Renie Boyle (Douglas) also of Port Charlotte, Florida three grandchildren Kirstie Bruno, Samuel Bruno, III, and Vincent Bruno and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Robert Przenkop and a sister April Lewis.

Friends are welcome from 2~4 & 6~8 PM on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120 where funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Thursday, July 6, 2017. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville at 12:30 PM.
