Irene H. Spin, 97 of Houston passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Premiere Washington Health Center. She was born April 19, 1923 in Burgettstown, the daughter of the late John and Anna Horanich Haba.
Mrs. Spin married Anthony “Chumma” Spin of Houston on June 29, 1947. She was a homemaker having formally worked for 22 years at Plasteel Products Corp. of Washington, in the accounting and secretarial field. She was last employed by William A. Bailey Company, a subdivision of Piatt Industries, Washington, retiring in 1978.
She was a Roman Catholic and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Canonsburg. She belonged to the Greek Catholic Lodge and Fraternity.
Irene was a fabulous baker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter Donna Fazzolari and her husband Terry of Washington; son James Spin of Daytona Beach, FL; grandchildren Amy Romanetti and Mark Fazzolari; brother Andrew Haba of Maryland and Joseph Haba and his wife Sandy of Delaware. Deceased in addition to her parents are her husband Anthony “Chumma” Spin and brothers John, Edward and George Haba.
Due to the COVID- 19 pandemic private visitation and services will be held for the family in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 W. Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120.
