Ida Marie Bonazza of Washington, formerly of Meadowlands, died Saturday, January 17, 2009 at Washington County Health Center following a three year illness.
She was born February 9, 1920 in Manifold, Pa.; the daughter of Severino and Louisa Caumo.
On October 12, 1946 she married John L. (JB) Bonazza, Jr. who survives.
Also surviving one son, Richard (Joanne) Bonazza of Washington; granddaughter, Leah of Carnegie, sister, Lena Ceicek of Washington; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are brothers, Richard, Edward, Charles and Louis Caumo. Ida also had four siblings who died during childhood, Mary, Alice, Arthur and James.
Ida was a devoted member of Miraculous Medal Church and a Charter member of the Christian Mothers.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Friends are welcome on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10:15 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Miraculous Medal Church with Rev. John O'Shea as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peter's Township.
The Christian Mothers will recite rosary at 4:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
