Henry Andrew Koszarsky age 85 of Canonsburg, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Golden Living Center of South Hills. He was born on May 20, 1929 in Manifold, Pa.; the son of the late John and Albina Kurek Koszarsky.
Mr. Koszarsky served in the Korean War with the United States Army. He lived in Canonsburg for the past 58 years, where he was a member of St. Patrick Church, VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg and the American Legion Post 902 of Houston. Mr. Koszarsky was a watch maker by trade. He enjoyed making and repairing watches. For over 25 years in the Great Southern Shopping Center he worked for Jewelry Box and also Black Stone Jeweler's. He also enjoyed spending time with his family especially at their family picnics.
On October 1, 1955 he married his beloved wife of 58 years, Margaret Borsos who survives. Also surviving are daughter, Judith L. (David) McCobin of State College, Pa; two sons, Henry A. (Andrea) Koszarsky Jr.; of Florence, SC; Christopher (Laurie) Koszarsky of Holly Springs NC; four grandchildren, Julianne and Matthew McCobin and Braden and Maia Koszarsky and many nieces and nephews. He was the last of his immediate family.
Deceased also are three sisters, Mary Lemly, Cecelia Allen and Helen Voiner and three brothers, John, Leon and Anthony Koszarsky.
Friends are welcome on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 To 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 10:00 AM . Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray. Family suggests in lieu of flowers donations to charity of your choice.
