Helen "Jean" (Lazor) Hundzienski

October 23, 1940 — July 28, 2016

Helen “Jean” Hundzienski age 75 of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Thursday July 28, 2016 in her home following a two month illness, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born October 23, 1940 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Cornelius and Helen Lazor O’Rourke. Mrs. Hundzienski lived her entire life in Canonsburg where she graduated from Canon-McMillan High School and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. She had been employed at Mayview State Hospital and was a member of the White Eagles Society. For more than 30 years she was self- employed along with her husband as an excellent seamstress and business manager in their Furniture Store and Upholstering business. Mrs. Hundzienski enjoyed cooking, shopping and decorating, also gardening and crossword puzzles. She had recently redecorated her patio where she spent precious time with her family.

On July 24, 1959 she married Kenneth Hundzienski who passed away September 29, 2006. She has spent the past 7 years with her companion Vince Tyman.  Surviving is her daughter Trayce Dulaney (Jeff Stevenson) and two beloved granddaughters; Chelsey and Taylor Dulaney and many nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are two sons Sean and Kenneth Hundzienski and her brother Robert O’Rourke.

Friends are welcome from 2 until 8pm Sunday, July 31, 2016 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra FD owner/supervisor Lin Webb funeral director 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a Catholic blessing service will be held at 10am Monday August 1, 2016. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery 3739 Washington Road McMurray. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Donnell House and Washington Health System Hospice Care.
