Helen N. Santoro

Helen N. Santoro age 94 of Hawthorne Woods, Washington, formerly of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and Fredericktown passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 in her home. She was born October 6, 1919 in Davis, West Virginia a daughter of the late Frank and Casimir Eizonas Staskus. She lived most of her life in the Fredericktown area where she was a member of St. Michaels Church, Mrs. Santoro then lived in Ft. Walton Beach Florida where she was a member of St Mary's Roman Catholic Church where she served as an usherette. A homemaker, she was an avid bowler, member of the Son's of Italy, Elketts of Lodge 1795 in Ft. Walton where she served as 2nd vice president and the ladies auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus St. Mary's Counsel.
August 11, 1937 she married Fred Santoro who died March 1, 1983. Surviving is a son Frederick of McMurray, a daughter Cynthia McMannes of Mentor Ohio three grandchildren; Crystal McMannes and Fred Michael and Gary Steven Santoro, two sisters; Mary Mace of Reno Nevada and Frances Fichtner of White Oak, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband is a sister Juanita Slovinsky and three brothers; Charles, Joseph and John Staskus.
At Mrs. Santoro's request there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be private.
