Helen Pinchak , age 91 of Washington, formerly of Canonsburg, died Monday, July 18, 2011 in the Donnell House, Washington.
She was born November 10, 1919 in Donora a daughter of the late Chester and Cecielia Kumuska Lewandowski.
Mrs. Pinchak lived her life in the Washington and Canonsburg areas where she was a member of St. Patrick R.C. Church. Prior to her retirement she had been employed as an aid at Mayview State Hospital for 16 years and had formerly been employed at Edgewater Steel Plant during World War II and the Kress Box factory. Mrs. Pinchak was a member of the Slovenian Women's Union of America. Her husband Andrew Pinchak died in 1979.
Surviving are her son David Pinchak of Washington, two grandsons, Christopher and Jeremey Pinchak and two great grandchildren, Andrew Charles Pinchak and Anastasia Pinchak, her sister Dorothy McCormack of Coraopolis, her daughter in law Connie Pinchak and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is her son Andrew Pinchak Jr., a step daughter Betty Coffey, four brothers Walter, Edward, John and Frank Lewandowski and two sisters Irene Lewandowski and Janet Arcin.
Friends are welcome from 10:30am until 11:30am on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in Salandra Funeral Service Inc Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday.
