Helen Joy Thomas Orcutt age 63 of Bridgeville, died Monday, May 11, 2009 at 3:00 AM in the Donnell House, Washington.
She was born December 9, 1945 in Canonsburg, the daughter of late Anthony J. and Helen Donnelly Thomas.
Mrs. Orcutt was a member of St. Benedict the Abbot Church, McMurray, also a member of Women of St. Benedict's and was active in "Respect for Life".
She was a registered nurse for 38 years, working for Washington County Health Center, Friendship Village of South Hills and Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Surviving are her husband, Dennis E. Orcutt; daughter, Rebecca (Josen) Mitchell of Coke Burg; three brothers, Anthony and Ted Thomas both of Canonsburg; John Thomas of Houston; sister, Shirley Ann Clifton of College Station, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother Robert Thomas and two sisters, Carmella Hartman and Betty Jean Shannon.
Friends will be welcome on Wednesday and Thursday, May 13 and 14, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where a Blessing Service will be held on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 10:15 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in St. Benedict the Abbot Church, McMurray. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray.
Donations made are made to St. Benedict the Abbot Church or to the Donnell House in Memory of Helen.
