Helen D. Lesso age 95 of Strabane died Sunday April 3, 2011. She was born March 15, 1916 in Star Junction a daughter of the late William and Mary Novak Patrick.
Mrs. Lesso lived most of her life in Strabane and was a homemaker. She was member of Jednota and the Slovenian Women's Union Branch 71 both of Strabane. She was a faithful member of St. Patrick Church.
On September 15, 1936 in the old St. Patrick Church she married Andrew E. Lesso, who died July 13, 2007. Surviving is her daughter Patricia (Vaughn) Baughman of Latrobe, her son Andrew W. Lesso of Los. Angeles California, a brother Mike Patrick of Canonsburg, a sister, Julia (David) Dill of Sparta, Ill. three grandchildren, Brian and Keven Kobasa and Karsten Lesso, and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband are two brothers Joseph and Edward Patrick and two sisters, Mary Pankiewicz and Anna Hostinsky.
At the request of the deceased there will be no public visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Tuesday April 5, 2011 in St. Patrick R.C. Church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made in Mrs. Lesso's memory to St. Patrick's School.
