Helen F. Hopper, 84, recently of New Cumberland, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born December 1, 1924 in Pittsburgh she was a daughter of the late Mary Kress Chesnick and Frank Chesnick.
She was a graduate of Chartiers High School in Houston, PA and made a career as a Real Estate Broker in Greensburg,, PA. She especially loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Fulton Hopper and her son, Jeffrey Fulton Hopper. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Jane Podboy, her husband David and her best pal Decoy of New Cumberland, PA and Sallie Ann Hopper of San Diego, CA and 4 grandchildren, Jack Zimmerlink and wife Angella of Missouri, Mikie Zimmerlink of San Diego, and Sara and Taylor Bakos of Kennewick, WA. She took particular delight in her only great- grandchild, Lila Lynn Zimmerlink.
Friends are welcome from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday July 31, and 9:00 - 11:00 AM on Saturday August 1, 2009 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg with prayers at 11:00 AM followed by services and interment at Melrose Cemetery, Bridgeville with Rev. Thomas Hamilton officiating.
