Helen Fisher

Helen Fisher age 88 of Canonsburg died Wednesday November 2, 2011 in Washington Hospital. She was born September 9, 1923 in Broughton a daughter of the later Adam and Mary Stasiak Guter.
Mrs. Fisher lived mot of her life in Canonsburg, where she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers and Guild. She was a homemaker and enjoyed helping others.
On February 1, 1945 she married Stanley Fisher who died June 14, 1985, Surviving are her daughter Nancy L. (Thomas) Boehm of South Park, her son Donald S. (Adela) Fisher of Canonsburg, brother Theodore Guter, two sisters Rose Marie Irwin and Mary Louise Hart, three grandchildren Christine Boehm (Peter) Waller, Michael and Matthew Fisher, two great grandchildren Kai Waller and Dylan Waller, several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband are three brothers, Stanley, Walter and John Guter, who died at birth, three sisters, Julia Latini, Dolores Endler and Shirley Guter, who died at birth and a step sister, Josephine Zucharo.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday, November 4, 2011 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30am Saturday November 5, 2011. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. The Christian Mothers and Guild of St. Patrick will recite the rosary at 3pm Friday in the funeral home.
