Helen A. Gleadall Janda

Helen A. Gleadall Janda, of McMurray, beloved Mother, Grand Mother and Great Grand Mother, passed away peacefully on 11/13/2024. She was born, 3/30/1937 in Philadelphia Pa, daughter of late Raymond and Helen Gleadall.

Helen attended Mount Saint Joseph’s Academy and Peirce Junior College in Philadelphia, Pa. She was employed as an Advertising Manager at Stationers Guild of America, fell in love with Raymond G Janda in 1958 and married on June 25, 1960. She enjoyed 60 years of marriage with the love of her life. Left behind to cherish her memory are her 4 beloved children, Raymond G. Janda, Paul A. Janda, Lauren E. Balden (John Balden), Christopher T. Janda (Kerry Janda), Her precious grandchildren, Dylan and MacKenzie Janda, Kayleigh Rae, Lindsay and Emily Janda, Jeb Balden, Weston Scott and Sadie Grace Janda and most recently, great grandson Beau Patrick Janda.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Raymond G Janda, son, John Scott Janda, brother Raymond Gleadall

 Helen’s favorite mantra was “FAMILY IS EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST EVERYTHING ELSE”. She was happiest when surrounded by family and cooking in her kitchen

Helen was employed by Peters Township School District as a Paraprofessional and later as attendance secretary for 23 years. She was also a founding member of the PT Hoop Group which was very important to both Helen and Ray

As we say goodbye to Helen Alyce Janda, we celebrate the life of a women who was a beacon of kindness and love, a warrior of strength and perseverance. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her family and a testament to the beautiful life she lived and the countless lives she impacted. A Celebration of Life will take place in January for friends and family.
