Harry Horwatt

Harry Horwatt, age 91 of Canonsburg passed away Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Premier Washington Health Center. He was born August 8, 1929 in Canonsburg a son of the late Peter and Eva Schmegda Horwatt.

Harry was a life-long resident of Canonsburg. Throughout his life, Harry worked at several country clubs and high end restaurants as a bar tender. Most recently, he was employed by Harry M. Stevens, as bar manager at the Meadows Racetrack.

Harry was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Canonsburg and an active member of the Canonsburg Sons of Italy. He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers fan, an avid golfer and loved visiting Tucson Arizona, where he had a life long dream of someday living.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his sister Elizabeth Pensak of Cincinnati and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents are four brothers Frank, Steven, William and Peter Horwatt and four sisters Julia Cunic, Annie Tornabene, Helen Mae Horwatt and Mary Horwatt.

Private family services and interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
