Gladys Mae Vore, age 93 of Washington formerly of Canonsburg died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care.
She was born January 18, 1915 at Joseph Mills, Tyler County, West Virginia a daughter of the late Walter W. and Ida Davis Perkins.
Mrs. Vore was Protestant, a graduate of Pennsboro High School and a homemaker.
On February 27, 1937 she married Herbert Blair Vore, who died September 29, 1990.
Surviving is a son Louis E. (Ruth) Vore of Washington, four grandchildren, Edward
(Teresa) Vore, Amy (William) Hardis, Andrew Vore and James (Suzy) Vore, seven great grandchildren, Joey and Ben Vore, Richard and Timothy Hardis, Jacob, Madeleine and Lillian Vore, and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three sisters, Thelma Baker, Mary Sample and Wilma Baltzer.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, Owner/Supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg where services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 12, 2008 with Pastor Peggy Shannon officiating. Interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Tyler County, West Virginia.
