Gertrude E. Lutz age 92 of Houston passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Golden Living of South Hills.
She was born March 12, 1920 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late William and Coletta Kress Ashton.
Mrs. Lutz lived most of her life in Houston, was a member of St. Patrick Church and retired from Washington Hospital as a nurse's aid. She loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are son, William "Bill" (Doris) Lutz of Canonsburg, two grandchildren, Brian Lutz of Greensburg and Traci (Jason) Frye of Canonsburg, two sisters, Ida Glass and Coletta Ashton both of Houston and many nieces and nephews. - - - - - - - -
Deceased are two sisters, Armella M. Harms and Ruth Ashton also three brothers, James, Jerry and William E. "Buck" Ashton.
At the request of Mrs. Lutz, there will be no visitation. A Committal Service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:30AM in St. Patrick's Cemetery Chapel, Canonsburg. Please meet family at Chapel at 10:20 AM. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Salandra Funeral Service, Inc.; Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120.
