Germaine Martin age 85 of Dayton, Armstrong County, formerly of Canonsburg, died Friday September 2, 2011 in Suburban General Hospital. She was born October 28, 1925 in Paris France a daughter of Emile and Louise Adelen.
Mrs. Martin came to the United States in 1949 with her husband and son. She was a homemaker and the last of her immediate family. On September 30, 1944 she married Hubert Martin who died May 3, 1998.
Surviving is her son Bernard M. (Raynette) Martin of Dayton, a granddaughter Elise M. (Louis) Simpson of Canonsburg a sister- in- law Anne Adelen of France and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 2-4pm Sunday, September 4, 2011 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120. Interment will be in Chartiers Hill Cemetery, Canonsburg on Tuesday September 6, 2011.
