Geraldine L. (Skowirski) Ward- Statler age 79 of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 1, 2012 in her home surrounded by her family.
She was born August 27, 1933 in Canonsburg, the daughter of the late George and Helen Olshock Skowirski.
Mrs. Statler lived most of her life in Canonsburg, was Catholic by faith and retired from MayView State Hospital.
Surviving are her loving companion for over 40 years, Richard Donella; son Mark (Patty) Ward III, daughters, Marsha (Fred) Tonti and Melanie (Greg) Holtz all of Canonsburg, five grandchildren; Mark D. Ward IV, Shelby Tonti, Zachary Tonti, Jeremy (Abbey) Chambers and Tiffany Chambers; two step-grandchildren; Andrew Chappo and April Thompson; two great-grandchildren; Kylie Chambers and Luke Chambers Fritz; sister, Tessie Radosy and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Adele Buncic and Lorraine Doheny.
Friends are welcome on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc.; Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where a Blessing Service will be held on Thurday, December 6, 2012 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
