Gary S. "Buzz" Buyan age 55 of Canonsburg, died Friday July 23, 2010 in his home, surrounded by his wife and children, after a brief battle with melanoma.
He was born February 27, 1955 in Canonsburg, the son of the late Eleanor Buyan and Steve and Pat Buyan, who survive.
Buzz lived his entire life in Canonsburg where he was a member of Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church and the P.N.C. Club.
He was a cabinet finisher for Local Union 1160 and a painter for Local 6 for over 30 years. He also was employed with Lowes Home Improvement Store for the past 3 years.
Buzz was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed going camping at Big Bear Lake with his family and was an avid Steelers's, Penguin's and NASCAR fan.
On July 4, 1985, (just celebrating 25 years) he married Nyla McQuillan who survives.
Also surviving are daughter, Ashley (Daniel) Dodd III and son, Garrett Buyan both of Canonsburg; grandson, Brody Dodd and one expected; brother Dennis (Denise) Buyan of Canonsburg; sisters, Denise (Barry) Verner, Carla Stewart both of Washington; Amy Buyan of Canonsburg; half sister Artie Buyan-Bitzel of Maryland; half brother, Steve Buyan of Upper St. Clair and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome on Sunday July 25, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00PM and on Monday July 26, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00PM and 6:00 to 8:00PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday July 27, 2010 in Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Thomas D. Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow in Center Cemetery, Midway. Family suggest in lieu of flowers donations made to Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church or to Three Rivers Hospice in memory of Buzz.
