Frank A. “Tiza” Kern age 93 of Strabane passed away peacefully Thursday October 16, 2019 in Strabane Woods. He was born May 11, 1926 in Strabane a son of the late Adolph and Justine Podboy Kern. Mr. Kern lived his entire life in Strabane and was a graduate of Trinity High School. He served with the United States Army during World War II and prior to his retirement, had been employed at the former Pennsylvania Transformer and Cooper Industries. Tiza was a member of the SNPJ Lodge 138 and the KSKJ St. Jerome Lodge 153 both of Strabane, a life member of the VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg and the American Legion Post 902 of Houston. He was the last of his immediate family. Deceased in addition his parents are his brothers Joseph and Adolph M. Kern Jr. Left behind to cherish his memory are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will deeply miss him.
