Frank C. Uram, 78, of Canonsburg, formerly of Nebo and Griggsville, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 in Canonsburg Hospital.
He was born on March 13, 1937 in Canonsburg, the son of the late Frank and Julia Waschak Uram.
Prior to relocating in 1961, Frank served with the National Guard. On February 28, 2015 he retired from Nature House in Griggsville, IL as the General Manager. On March 3, 2015 Frank moved back to Canonsburg to be close to his family.
Frank had many hobbies, including hunting in earlier years and playing guitar and accordion. He especially loved building his large display of H. O. model trains. He also loved watching football, basketball, hockey, and more recently, baseball.
On May 4, 1963 he married Glenna M. Ramsey Uram, who passed away on February 24, 2010.
Surviving are three beloved sisters, Donna L. (Frank) Porco of Canonsburg, Carol A. (the late Gerald L. “Jerry”) Oblock of Canonsburg, and Darling M. (Leonard) Patnesky of Canosnburg; five nieces and nephews, Lynnet (Eric) Miller of Kimberly, Alabama, Timothy Porco of South Park, Matthew (Sylvia) Oblock of Cecil, Lindsay (Billy) Jiblits of Waynesburg, and Robert C. “Bobby” (Pam) Patnesky of Charlotte, North Carolina; and five great nieces and nephews, Ty Miller of Kimberly, Alabama, Matthew, Anna, and Katie Oblock, all of Cecil, and Zachery Jiblits of Waynesburg.
Friends are welcome from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM on Friday, July 24, 2015 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra Owner/Supervisor, Lin Webb Funeral Director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120. Funeral services and interment will be private.
