Frank R. “Ron” Pratten

Frank R. “Ron” Pratten age 89 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Tuesday December 31, 2024, in Washington with his devoted family by his side. He was born on January 10, 1935, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Theodore and Evelyn Wooliscroft Pratten. He lived his life in Canonsburg and was a member of St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church. Ron Served with the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division. He had been employed as a fitter welder at the former McGraw Edison Power Systems, in Canonsburg. He then served as head of security at the Washington County Health Center for 14 years. Ron loved to hunt and fish and was a life member at the VFW Post 191, White Eagles Society, French Club, PNU and the Canonsburg Sportsmen’s Association. On July 5, 1958, he married Ann “Shirley” Sifinski, who he leaves behind after 66 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved daughters, Leslie A. White and her husband Robert of Ferndale, MD and Rhonda L. Patchel and her husband Christopher, “CJ” of White Oak, his three grandsons, Matthew White, Evan and Zachary Sivak, former son in law Ken Sivak, sisters Marlene Kelly of St. Louis Mo and Carol “Po” (Carl) Fetkenhour of Arizona and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents is his brother Theodore ‘Roy’ Pratten and his sister Freda Greer. 

Family and friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday, January 6, 2025, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724) 745-8120 where blessing services will be held at 9:30 am Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Interment with full military honors will be held at 10:30 am in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp by the VFW Post 191 Honor Guard and the United States Army.
