Frances M. Koklich age 93 of McMurray passed away at 1pm Friday June29, 2012 in Chapel Grove Inn, Heath, Ohio. She was born May 6, 1919 in Oakdale a daughter of Jacob and Mary Gregoric Martincic.
Mrs. Koklich was a home maker who had formerly been employed at the Continental Can Company in Canonsburg and was in distribution for Outdoor Magazine. She was a member of St. Benedict the Abbott Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Women's Guild. She enjoyed spending time in cottages at Forest County and spoiling her children. Mrs. Koklich was a member of the KSKJ St. Jerome lodge 53 and the SNPJ loge 138 both of Strabane, among other Slovenian organizations.
On May 12, 1946 she married Frank T. Koklich who died October 10, 1988. Surviving are two sons; Albert (Sheray) Koklich of Granville Ohio and Kenneth (Patricia Wieliczko) Koklich of Thornton Colorado, two grandchildren; Justin (Heather) Koklich and Kelly (Joseph) Forester and two great grandchildren; Catelyn and Jack, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Koklich was the last of her immediate family. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is a son Edmond F. Koklich who died in 1960, two brothers; Albert Martincic, killed in World War II and Jacob Martincic who died December 19, 2006 and a sister Mary "Mitzi" Gabrowsek.
Friends are welcome from 5-8 pm Thursday July 5, 2012 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 9:15 am Friday, July 6, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Friday in St. Benedict the Abbott Roman Catholic Church 120 Abington Drive, Peters Twp. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp. Memorial contributions can be made to the Women's Guild of St Benedict the Abbott Church.
