Frances Costanzo Eonta age 85 of Canonsburg died at 11:15 am Sunday March 4, 2012 following and extended illness. She was born January 18, 1927 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Fred and Florence Chaido Costanzo. Mrs. Eonta lived her entire life in Canonsburg where she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers and Guild. She had attended Canonsburg schools and had been employed at the former Continental Can Company and Marlene's dress shop both in Canonsburg. Prior to her retirement she had been employed as a cafeteria worker at Hawthorne school in the Canon-McMillan school district. Mrs. Eonta was a member of the Canonsburg Italian American Association and the Canonsburg Senior Citizens.
On October 22, 1949 she married Phillip Eonta who died August 15, 1979. Surviving are her daughter and chief care giver Frances Marie Eonta with whom she made her home, two brothers; Sam Costanzo of Levittown and Fred Costanzo of Canonsburg, two sisters; Pauline Manko of Bridgeville and Mary Bier of Houston, her sister in law Eileen Costanzo of Canonsburg and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband is a daughter Florence Ann "Annie" Eonta who died September 25, 2009 and a brother Joseph P. Costanzo who died June 15, 2000.

Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 12:30 pm Wednesday March 7, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm in St. Patrick Church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
