Eve Dampf age 89 of Canonsburg, died at 5:45pm Friday January 29, 2010 in Canonsburg General Hospital. She was born July 7, 1920 in Canonsburg a daughter if Conrad and Anna Matyuf Waschak.
Mrs. Dampf lived her life in Canonsburg where she was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, the Ladies Alter Society and was a 40 year Choir member.
Prior to her retirement she had been employed by RCA as an inspector in the Canonsburg and Meadow Lands plants.
On July 30, 1950 she married Henry Dampf who survives, along with several nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are two sisters, Julia Uram and Mary Wilson and two brothers Harry and John Waschak.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg Where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday February 2, 2010. Liturgy will follow at 11:00 am in St John the Baptist Orthodox church with the Very Reverend Joseph Oleynik , Pastor officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Parastas services will be held at 7pm Monday in the funeral home.
