Ella B. O'Hare, age 88 of South Fayette Twp. formerly of Muse died Thursday, August 9, 2012 in St. Clair Hospital, Mt Lebanon Twp. surrounded by her family and friends. She was born May 22, 1924 in Loydell, a daughter of the late John and Ivanka Kovcic Guzell.
Mrs. O'Hare lived most of her life in the Muse area where she was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church and the Alter Society. She had been employed as a Psychiatric Aide at the former Mayview State Hospital and the RCA in formerly of Canonsburg. Mrs. O'Hare was a member of the Muse Independent Club Ladies Auxiliary, the S.N.P.J. Lodge 138 of Strabane and the Muse Senior Citizen. She had been an avid bowler.
On September 14, 1946 she married Patrick O'Hare who died June 12, 1959. Surviving are two daughters; Nikki (Jack) O'Brien with whom she made her home and Maureen (John) Hewett of Denver, Colorado, a brother Stanley Guzell of Strabane, her son in law David "Sonny" Gump with who she made her home for many years, seven grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband is a daughter Patricia L. Gump, a sister Josephine F. "Babe" Gazvoda, a brother Joseph J. Sedmak and twin brothers who died in infancy.
Friends are welcome from 6-8pm Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8pm Sunday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, were a brief service will be held at 9:15 am on Monday, August 13, 2012 with the reverend John Hamilton officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday in Holy Rosary Church, Muse with reverend George DeVille, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St Mary's Church Cemetery, Cecil. The Christian Mother's of Holy Rosary will recite the rosary at 7:00 PM in the funeral home on Saturday.
