Elizabeth A. (Borza) Strnisa

Elizabeth A. Strnisa, 88 of Canonsburg passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at North Strabane Rehabilitation and Wellness in Canonsburg.

She was born on January 25, 1929 in Muse to Albert and Katherine Bishop Borza who preceded her in death.

On June 21, 1952 she married Frank A. Strnisa who passed away on August 6, 2002.

She was a faithful member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Canonsburg.

She graduated from Chartiers-Houston High School

Mrs. Strnisa was employed by Brody’s Furniture and RCA in the accounting department until her retirement.

She is survived by her only daughter Joyce M. Kortepeter of Canonsburg, three sons Frank W. Strnisa (Sherry) of Burgettstown, Ronald W. Strnisa (Lori) of Canonsburg, and Christopher Strnisa  (Lisa) of Clinton, PA, her brother William Borza (Inga) of San Francisco, her sister Dolores McQuaid (Dave) of Canonsburg, a sister-in-law of Alice Borza of Oregon, eleven grandchildren, Steven and Christopher Kortepeter, Joshua, Zachary and Scott Strnisa, Sierra, Soren and Sandor Strnisa, and Jayden, Jacob and Bailey Strnisa, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother Albert Borza.

Friends are welcome from 2~4 PM and 6~8 PM on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg , 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will start at 9:30 AM on Thursday, November 2, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
