Elizabeth I. Tomsic age 93 of Canonsburg passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in St. Clair Hospital, Mt. Lebanon Twp. She was born October 18, 1930, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late John and Mary Kropilak Puskar. Elizabeth lived her life in Canonsburg, attending first grade in a one room class in the Gladden Room School House. Liz was a graduate of Cecil High School class of 1948 and went on to receive a degree in the Stenographic Secretarial course from Penn Commercial Business School. She was first employed at the law firm of Zeman and Zeman as a legal secretary and a notary public and spent the rest of her life as a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Liz was a faithful member of St. Oscar Romero Parish St. Patrick Church. On November 15, 1952, she married Albert L. Tomsic, who passed away on August 4, 2004, after 52 years of marriage. Left behind to cherish her memory are her devoted children, Pamela S. Tomsic and Dr. Albert l. Tomsic Jr. DMD and his wife Andrea, her beloved grandsons Jeffrey and Taylor Jones and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Tomsic was the last of her immediate family. Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are her two brothers, George and Joseph V. Puskar and her sister Margaret Puskar.

At Mrs. Tomsics request, family visitation is private and has been entrusted into the care of SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724) 745-8120. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Friday, July 26, 2024, in St Oscar Romero Parish Patrick Church 317 West Pike Street Canonsburg. (Those attending Mass, should please meet in church) Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband Albert.
