Elise M. Martin

Elise Marie Martin, 32, of Washington, formerly of Canonsburg, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 in her home, following an extended illness.

She was born on September 21, 1983 in Pittsburgh, the beloved daughter of Linda L. Hixon Martin of Washington and Bernard M. (Raynette) Martin of Dayton, Pennsylvania.

Elise was a graduate of Canon McMillan High School.  She spent most of her life in Canonsburg until recently relocating to Washington.  Elise enjoyed baking and won a Blue Ribbon at the Dayton County Fair for cookies she had baked.   She also enjoyed shopping, going out, and spending time on her computer, especially on social media sites.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, is a sister, Adrienne Pettit of New Orleans, Louisiana; aunts and uncles, Robert and Mary Hixon of Canonsburg and Bruce and Christine Hixon of Canonsburg; and cousins, Hubert Martin of Belle Vernon and Nicholas and Linda Martin of Belle Vernon.

Also surviving is her beloved dog, Roland.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Hubert and Germaine Martin and maternal grandparents, Robert and Marjorie Hixon.

A Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 19, 2015 in the First United Methodist Church of Houston, 213 East Pike Street, Houston.  Private inurnment alongside her grandparents will be in Hill Church Cemetery, Canonsburg.
