Eileen Ann Battistone

Eileen Ann Battistone age 81, of Canonsburg, passed away Saturday September 7, 2024, in McMurray Hills Manor, following an extended illness with her family by her side. She was born February 16, 1943, in Homestead, a daughter of the late John and Marian Bakanic O'Ross. She was a faithful member of Corpus Christi Parish, St. Mary’s Church in Cecil. and formerly Holy Rosary Church in Muse. Eileen was a graduate of Munhall High School class of 1962 and lived most of her life in the Muse area. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. On June 12, 1965, she married Joseph Battistone who she leaves behind after 59 years of marriage. Also left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Renee (Mark) Linn of Canonsburg and Matthew (Joliene) Battistone of Finleyville, her grandchildren Matthew and Angelina Battistone, her brother Edward O'Ross of Los Angeles, California and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg (724) 745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:15 am Thursday September 12, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cecil. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery Peters Twp.
