Edward E. "Ted" Snyder III age 45 of Cecil, passed away from a month long battle with cancer, Sunday, November 10, 2013 in Shadyside Hospital.
He was born August 17, 1968 in Washington Hospital, the son of Edward E. "Ted" and Barbara J. Fischer Snyder, Jr. of Houston, who survives.
Ted belonged to Iron Worker Union Local #3 of Pittsburgh, was an iron worker for AC Dellovade Inc. He was raised in Houston and for the last 12 years lived in Cecil where he attended mass with his family at St. Mary's Church, Cecil. Ted was an avid hunter, enjoyed going to his daughters sporting events but most of all spending time with his family.
On May 29, 1993 he married his beloved wife, Shelly Uram who survives. Also surviving in addition to his parents and wife are three daughters, Brittney, Sarah, and Emily Snyder all at home, a brother, Anthony ( Lori) Snyder of Pittsburgh; brother-in-law, Fred Rudd of New York, New York; father and mother -in-law, George and Earlene Uram of Canonsburg; sister-in-law, Jodi (Joseph) Stumpf of Canonsburg, brother-in-law, George (Katie) Uram of Cecil; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased are a sister, Jean Rudd, and also material and paternal grandparents.
Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, November 14, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, 724-745-8120 where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, November 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Nathan Miller of New Life Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. In lieu of flowers family suggest donations be made to the family for Ted's daughters college trust funds
