Edward J. Dombrowski age 87 of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 11:50 PM in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born on April 9, 1922 in?, the son of Kazmerz and Stella Sulakowski Dombrowski.
Mr. Dombrowski was a graduate of Canonsburg High School.
He was a member of the former St. Genevieve Roman Catholic Church now St. Patrick Church.
Mr. Dombrowski was a mill worker for the former Pennsylvania Transformer in Canonsburg.
He was past president of the White Eagles Lodge in Canonsburg for over 20 years.
Mr. Dombrowski enjoyed gardening; going to auctions and flea markets.
On November 28, 1953 he married Helen Zawatski who died on July 23, 1997.
Surviving are son, Edward J. Dombrowski and daughter, Deborah "Debbie" L. ( Anthony "Tony") Verno both of Canonsburg; two grandchildren, Adam Petras and Lauren Dombrowski; brother, Charles (Jenny) Dombrowski, sister Emily Cwiklinski both of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome on Friday, October 23, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/ supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Noon followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg.
