Donald W. Dayak

Donald W. Dayak, 68 of Avella passed away in Washington Hospital after an accident at his home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.

He was born on June 10, 1949 in Canonsburg to Charles and Gemella Fulton Dayak who preceded him in death.

On November 7, 1969 he married Helen Nackoul who survives.

He was a machinist until his retirement. He was also the former President of the credit union for Superior Valve.

Mr. Dayak was passionate about the outdoors enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of Indian Springs Gun Club. He followed NASCAR and was Penn State Football fan. He loved to tinker in his garage and vacation in Marco Island, Florida with his family. Above all, he loved his family and especially hanging out with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Don D. Dayak (Bernadette) of Washington and Daniel D. Dayak (Keely) of Avella, one sister Jean Beam (Bill) of Washington, four grandchildren Desiree, Deidra, Sierra and Devlin and one great granddaughter Avva.

Friends are welcome from noon until 7:30 p.m. the time of service on Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120. Interment will be private.
