Donald S. Casper

Donald S. Casper Sr. age 69 of Houston passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 13, 2014 in his home. He was born January 16, 1944 in Canonsburg a son of the late Stephen (Cobby) and Amelia E. Wojcik Casper. Mr. Casper lived his life in the Houston and Meadowlands area and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg. He was a graduate of Chartiers Houston High School and had been employed as a system Designs Engineer at ACI in Washington. He was a member and past vice president of the SNPJ Lodge in Meadowlands. Mr. Casper served on the Chartiers Twp. Board of Supervisors for twelve years and had held the position of Chairman.
On January 16, 1965 he married Diane Pabian who passed away July 22, 1997. Surviving is his son, Donald S. Casper Jr. (wife Kelley D.) of Wallingford, Connecticut, his daughter Danielle Marie Casper of Houston, two grandchildren Daniel and MacKenzie Casper. Mr. Casper was the last of his immediate family. Deceased in addition to his wife and parents is his son Daniel Casper who passed away September 20, 1988 and his brother Lanny J. Casper who passed away October 15, 2008.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9am Saturday, January 18, 2014. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am Saturday in St. Patrick Church with interment to follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
