Dominic Andrew (Cag) Lucciola

Dominic Andrew (Cag) Lucciola age 81 of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly at 5:13 am Tuesday March 20, 2012 in Canonsburg General Hospital. He was born March 29, 1930 in Canonsburg a son of the late Enrico and Antonia Vecchio Lucciola. Mr. Lucciola had served with the United States Army during World War II in the 1st Cavalry, while stationed in Kobe, Japan. He had been employed at the former Universal Cyclops Corporation and Washington Steel Corporation. He was a North Strabane Twp. police officer for many years. Mr. Lucciola was a member of the VFW post 191 of Canonsburg and the Canonsburg Italian American Association. He enjoyed camping, bowling and cooking and loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Lucciola is survived by two brothers, John (Dolly) Lucciola with whom he made his home and Anthony (Dolores) Lucciola of Stevens City Virginia, a sister Jean (Frank) Insana of Washington and nieces and nephews John (Teresa) Lucciola, Sandy Almo, Melissa (Joe) Graff, Jeanna Godwin, Lisa (Michael) Angelone, Krista Almo, and Kayla Lucciola, great nieces and nephews Nevaeh, Daelin and Dominic Godwin, and Mackenzie Graff, and a godson Joseph Gudac III.
Deceased are two brothers, Joseph and Patrick Lucciola.
Friends are welcome from 2-8pm Thursday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at noon Friday March 23, 2012. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30pm on Friday in St. Patrick church, followed by interment in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.
