Dolores M. "Dolly" Progar age 80 of Strabane, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Canonsburg General Hospital.
She was born April10, 1931 in Canonsburg, the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Nichol Raciborski.
Mrs. Progar was a graduate of Canonsburg High School and also of Penn Commercial School of Business.
She lived most of her life in Strabane, where she was a long time member of SNPJ lodge #138 and was part owner of Sonny's and Dolly's Tavern. In her earlier years she worked for the RCA and Mac's Plastics.
Mrs. Progar was a great mother, who enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially at her trailer at SNPJ Camp Site.
Surviving are son, Michael Progar of Strabane; sister, Rita (Joe) Sammartino of Canonsburg and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased also is her beloved husband, Louis Progar, Sr. who passed away February 9, 1972, son Louis (B.L.P.) Progar, Jr. who passed away November 28, 2004, sister, Florence Soski, seven brothers, Andrew and Edward Rodgers, Eugene Raczyborski, Chester, Bernard "Futta", Joseph "Max" and Raymond "Whitey" Raciborski.
Friends are welcome on Sunday, February 26, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Canonsburg.
