Dolores Theresa (Coyle) Vargo age 83 of Country Meadows formerly of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 1:00 PM in Country Meadows, Bridgeville.
She was born August 15, 1926, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Patrick and Mary Back Coyle.
Mrs. Vargo was a member of St. Patrick Church and their Christian Mothers.
She was a devote house wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Vargo belonged to TOPS and a bowling league both in Canonsburg.
On April 3, 1948 she married Frank Joseph Vargo who died June 7, 2003.
Surviving are five sons, Frank (Donna) Vargo of Scenery Hill, Robert (Valerie) Vargo of Canonsburg, David (Judy) Vargo of Washington, Joseph (Barbara) Vargo of Canonsburg, Allan Vargo of Washington, four daughters, Patricia (James) Dorazio of Scenery Hill, Jacqueline Vargo of Cooper City, Fl; Debra Saunders of Allentown, Virginia "Ginny" (Taleb) Talaat, of Cranberry Township, 17 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family
Deceased are 17 siblings.
Friends will be welcomed on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120, where a Blessing Service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2010 at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM in St. Patrick Church. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray. Christian Mothers will recite the rosary on Thursday at 3:00 PM in the funeral home. Family suggest donations be made to Canonsburg Library children's department or to Alzheimer Association.
