Dolores Pagano age 75, of Meadow Lands died Saturday, September 18, 2010 in Washington Hospital, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.
She was born October 17, 1934 a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Urbanic Rendziak. Mrs. Pagano lived her life in Meadow Lands and was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Roman Catholic church, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and Guild. She was a 1952 graduate of Chartiers High School and then Mercy School of Nursing. She dedicated her life to her profession as a nurse starting at Canonsburg Hospital and retiring from Washington Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting and annual trips to Las Vegas with her husband. Mrs. Pagano was a loving sister, aunt, cousin and special sister-in-law.
On September 24, 1955 she married John J. Pagano who died October 3, 2009. She is survived by two sons, Richard A Pagano of Meadow Lands and John A. (Sue) Pagano of Washington, a granddaughter Leah Pagano, a brother Joseph (Carolyn) Rendziak of Houston, several nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday and Tuesday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 am Wednesday, September 22, 2010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church Meadow Lands with the Reverend John O'Shea, pastor as celebrant. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Twp.Christian Mother's will recite rosary on Tuesday at 3:00 pm in funeral home.
