Dolores A. "Dolly" Miller age 80 of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly Saturday May 19, 2012 in Canonsburg General Hospital.
She was born June 12, 1931 in Canonsburg a daughter of the late Frank and Angiolina Fiore Mangiarelli.
Mrs. Miller lived her entire life in Canonsburg where she was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and its Christian Mothers and Guild. She had been employed for many years at the RCA in both Canonsburg and Meadowlands and prior to her retirement was employed in the payroll department of the J.C. Penney Co. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Canonsburg Italian American Association and had enjoyed playing cards for many years with friends, some from High School days.
On February 19, 1951 she married R. Mont Miller who survives after 61 years of marriage. Also surviving are two daughters; Kristine (Larry) Scola of Dunedin Florida and Robyn (Bill) Faith of North Strabane Twp., two grandsons; Vincent Faith and Chris (Christy) Faith, a great granddaughter Briella Faith and three nieces and a nephew; Camille (James) Stewart, Renee Miscio, Jamie (Jan Erik) Pedersen and J. Frank Zacour. She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are two sisters Velia Miscio and Lada Zacour and a brother Phillip Mangiarelli who died in infancy.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday May 24, 2012 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/ supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120. The Christian Mothers and Guild will recite the rosary at 3pm Thursday in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 12:00 PM and Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at 1:30 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Mothers and Guild of St. Patrick Church.
