Dennis Karner, 70 of Canonsburg passed away unexpectedly in his home on Friday, March 3, 2017.
He was born on May 10, 1946 in Canonsburg to Joseph and Mary Kerekes Karner who preceded him in death.
In 1998 he married Cythnia Czeczely who survives.
Mr. Karner was employed by Fort Pitt Bridgeworks, Red Valve, and Mac Plastics. He also worked for Canon-McMillan School District until his retirement.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to cook and bake for his family and friends. He was famous for his horseradish.
He was a member of Lawrence Rod and Gun Club, White Eagles Society, American Legion Post 902, VFW Post 191, the Polish National Club and the French Club.
He and his wife enjoyed camping and owned a campsite in Pymatuning at Pineview Camplands. He loved his children, grandchildren, extended family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter Jody Quinlen (Dane) of Pittsburgh, two sons Dennis Karner (Colleen) of North Carolina and Shawn Czeczely (April) of Ginger Hill, two brothers Gary Karner (Dorie) of Canonsburg and his twin brother David Karner of Elizabeth, seven grandchildren, Remington Quinlen, Dillion and Mason Karner, Lealynd, Kevin, Orion and Cyerra Czeczely and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 2-4 & 6-7:30 pm. the time of services on Monday, March 6, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Washington County Humane Society.
