Deborah D. Catalano, 68, of Murrels Inlet, SC, formerly of Washington, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 in her sister's home in Burgettstown. She was fondly referred to as "Dee" or "Debbie" by friends and family.

She was born on March 19, 1946 in Brockton, Mass., a daughter of the late Timothy and Linnea Olson Zylick.

Debbie had lived the last 25 years in South Carolina and came back to the area just a few weeks ago to be closer to her family. While in SC she was an active member of the Grand Strand Church of Christ where she sang with the choir and participated in bible studies.

On September 6, 1975 she married Frank J. Catalano, who passed away on October 14, 2014. She and her beloved will have a dual visitation and funeral service together.

Surviving are her sister, Linnea Brothers of Burgettstown; her brother, Mark (Dodie) Jones of Walnut Bottom, PA; her step-children, Frank J. (Lilli) Catalano, Jr. of Houston, Michael A. (Jamie) Catalano of Canonsburg, and Nicole M. (Richard) Hale of California; six grandchildren, Jacqueline (Glenn) Haynes, Michael Catalano, Jr., Nicholas Catalano, Marina Evans, Gabriella Evans, and Katie (John) Reeves; two great grandchildren, Fiona Haynes and Kelly Marie Reeves; nieces and nephews, Kristina (Jeff) Honaker, Austin, Ethan, and Kolina Brothers, and Logan, Ashley, and Cody Jones; and a great nephew, Chase Honaker.

In addition to her parents and husband, deceased is also a step-son, James V. Catalano.

Friends are welcome from 4:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, October 16, 2014 in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra Owner/Supervisor, Lin Webb Funeral Director, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 17, 2014 with Rev. Dr. Steve Mentzer officiating. Interment will follow at 12:30 PM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Grand Strand Church of Christ, 2212 Glenns Bay Road, Surfside Beach, SC 29575.
