Dean R. Gindlesperger age 79 of Washington passed away unexpectedly from injuries sustained in a fall, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, in The Greenery with his family by his side. He was born June 1, 1943, in Rockwood, a son of the late Robert and Ruth Baker Gindlesperger. Being raised in Berlin, PA, he graduated from the Berlin Brothers Valley High School in 1961. After High School Dean was employed for Allegheny Airlines and US Air in fleet service and ticket counter work, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a devoted Catholic and member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish, in Meadowlands, where for 15 years he served as custodian and Jack of all Trades. Dean lived for 4 years in Canonsburg and the past 40 years in Washington. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crossword puzzles and the New York Yankees. He was an avid drag racing fan and driver, winning many trophies in the sport, liked old cars and was a member of the National Rifle Association. Dean loved being with his family and his dogs Duchess, Kenny and Hudson. On June 11, 1964, he married Jean George who survives after 58 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved children, Matthew Robert Gindlesperger and his wife Emily of Irwin and Michelle Lee Gindlesperger of Washington, his grandson Christopher Dean Gindlesperger and great granddaughter Charlie Michelle Gindlesperger.

Friends and family are welcome from 4pm until 8 pm Thursday January 5, 2023, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra LFD owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where departing prayers will be recited at 9:20 am Friday January 6, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am at Our Lady of the
