David Francis Ward, 59, of Washington, passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 in The Greenery, Canonsburg.

He was born February 23, 1956 in Washington, a son of Hazel B. Maze Ward of Canonsburg and the late John P. Ward.

Mr. Ward was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School, Class of 1974, Washington and Jefferson College, and The New York School of Design.

He worked in New York City for Skidmore, Owings and Merrill as an Interior Designer and had the opportunity to travel for projects in Saudi Arabia and Amsterdam.  On his return to the states, he left New York to reside in Anaheim, California to work for Disneyland as an Art Director in the Entertainment Department.

David was an avid reader of hardback literature concerning various subjects, but, among his collection were several books of his most admired and loved Jackie Kennedy. He was completely taken by her elegance from an early age and that never waned. David was extremely gifted as an artist with a sharp and quick wit.

In addition to his mother, surviving are two sisters, Brenda (Larry Strawn) Snyder of Canonsburg and Patty (Kevin) Lowther of Washington; one brother, William (Tina) Ward of Allentown, PA; several nieces and nephews, Bryant (Tinnesia) Snyder, Chelena (Roger) McConnell, Jessica, Kassi and Grant Lowther, and Patrick, Christopher, and William Ward; and great-nieces, Sydney, Samantha and Sienna Snyder and Myah McConnell.

Deceased, in addition to his father, is a nephew, Nicolas Daniel Ward.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
