David John (Chief) Stevens age 68 of Canonsburg, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Manor Care in McMurray following and extended illness. He was born June 16, 1945 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, as son of a Native American (Oneida) mother, the late Lois Madeline Webster Stevens. A high school graduate, Mr. Stevens had been employed at the former McGraw Edison Power Systems and Cooper Industries in Canonsburg. Prior to his retirement he was a self employed painter for many years. He was a member of the SNPJ lodge 138 of Strabane, VFW post 191, PNU, White Eagles Society and the French Club, all of Canonsburg.
On February 5, 1994 he married Doris Clouston Binotto Stevens who survives. Also surviving are his stepson Michael (Judy) Clouston of Valdosta, Georgia, his mother in law, Anna Clouston Borio of Burgettstown, two brothers of Green Bay Wisconsin, two brothers in law; Barry (Donna) Clouston and William Clouston both of Avella, a cousin Raymond F. Bosso of Marietta, Ohio and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his cat. Flip-Flop.
At the request of Mr. Stevens there will be no public visitation or services. All arrangements are private and entrusted to Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P.
