David "Sy" Saieva age 59 of Muse, died at 5:35 pm Saturday December 18, 2010 in McMurray Hills Manor following a brief battle with cancer. He was born July 29, 1951 in Canonsburg a son of Alfonso J. "Dutchie" Saieva of Muse and the late Caroline R. LoGreco Saieva. Mr. Saieva lived his life in Muse where he was a member of the Muse Independent Club. He was Catholic. Mr. Saieva had served with the United States Air force and after 35 years of employment at May view State Hospital retired on December 10, 2010. He was an avid bowler and golfer, who enjoyed hunting and gambling trips to Las Vegas.
Surviving in addition to his father is a brother Samuel A. (Betty) Saieva of Houston, two sisters Karen (Rich) Jozwick of Wellsburg, West Virginia and Joann Romano of Muse, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Deceased in addition to his mother is a brother Richard James Saieva who died in 1974.
Friends are welcome from 6-8pm Monday and from 2-4 and 6-8pm Tuesday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc. Joseph P. Salandra owner/supervisor 304 West Pike Street Canonsburg where a blessing service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM, with the Reverend George W. DeVille, pastor of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic, Muse officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray. Full Military rites will be accorded by the VFW post 191 of Canonsburg and the American Legion post 902 of Houston.
